How does RCI Points Work?
For the first time, the RCI Points system allows timeshare owners to know and enjoy the full value of the week/s they have purchased. This value is expressed in Points.

The number of Points allocated to members is based on what they own. Timeshare experts have assessed and valued all the accommodation in the RCI portfolio and decided these values. Each week has been given an RCI Points value based on the apartment size, location, season, demand and the quality of the resort.

The Points value a member receives for their week is also the value that another Points member would pay to book it.

Therefore:

• Two-bedroom apartment have more Points than studio apartments
• Peak season weeks have more Points than low season weeks
• Gold crown standard accommodation has more Points than standard resorts

At the beginning of their membership year, members receive their allocation of Points into their account. They then use these Points to pay for their holidays with the price of the weeks expressed in Points. And they can select their holidays from the entire RCI pool of accommodation.

Now, if members choose to take a lower value holiday by booking a smaller apartment or travelling out of season, they only pay the Points price for that holiday.

Similarly, if members want a larger apartment than they own or need to travel at a different time of year, they can. They just pay the Points price for that accommodation.

And if they have any unused Points, members can book another holiday, save them over to the following year or use against one of the many other services available.
